The people behind the magic

We are a team of language access professionals who believe that when someone can be heard, understood, and included — something changes. We call that magic.

Founder

Elizabeth Sánchez

she/her/ella

English ↔ Spanish

“Language access feels like magic — you can see the change happen in real time.”

With 12 years in language access — as an interpreter, staff interpreter, and Language Access Coordinator — Elizabeth founded E2S to build a company that treats interpreters with respect and keeps the end user at the center.

Why I do this work

One moment a person may feel unsure, quiet, confused, or unable to fully participate. Then, when language access is provided, something shifts. They can ask questions, understand what is being said, and advocate for themselves. That shift is what this work is for — and it never gets old.

Outside of work

Kayaking, camping, hiking, comedy, and true crime. Mom to an 18-year-old daughter and a 16-year-old son, and to a Pomeranian named Feebee.

Fun fact

Had open-heart surgery at age 10.

Client & Interpreter Relations Manager

Rodrigo Gaspar-Barajas

he/they

English ↔ Spanish + Italian & German

“We care about collaborative partnerships with interpreters, clients, and the communities we serve.”

Rodrigo brings 10 years of interpreting experience and 12 years in healthcare to E2S. He leads interpreter evaluations, mentoring, and onsite observations — and still interprets in the field.

Why I do this work

My favorite thing is to interpret in the field — seeing the difference it makes in real time fills my cup. Now I love supporting interpreters in their development, because I remember how difficult it was to learn with no support, and sometimes even sabotage from other agencies.

Outside of work

Hiking, non-fiction books, K-dramas, and singing. Uncle to 13 nieces and nephews. Devoted to Leo, a grumpy-but-loved 13-year-old toy poodle.

Fun fact

Studied music and planned to become an opera singer. Still performs occasionally with a local group called OperaBend.

Administrative Specialist

Amy Clark

she/her

English & Spanish

“Being part of a supportive team lets us offer that same support to everyone we work with.”

Amy handles billing, client onboarding, and financial reconciliation. Bilingual in English and Spanish with 5+ years of administrative experience, she brings care and precision to every interaction.

Why I do this work

I grew up in a Hispanic household and witnessed many times how much harder things get with a language barrier. Being part of a company that puts so much thought and effort into making language accessible — that is something I am proud of every day.

Outside of work

Camping, outdoor activities, movies, music, and dancing. Mom to two active boys (13 and 7). Two cats. Loves baking when life slows down enough to allow it.

Fun fact

She is Peruvian — born and raised in Oregon, but her entire family is from Peru and she dreams of visiting someday. Also a devoted fan of Disney, Harry Potter, and penguins.

Translation Project Manager & Translator

Areli Sánchez

she/her

Spanish (native), English, French & Portuguese

“Chances are I will reach out to ask you some questions — that is how we get it right.”

Areli manages translation projects from start to delivery, with 12+ years of experience and fluency in four languages. She holds a BA and Postgraduate Diploma in Interpreting.

Why I do this work

I love the challenge of delivering translation requests while constantly implementing improvements to the service. Over 12 years in this field, I have always found a way to move in the direction I wanted — and that, to me, is something to be proud of.

Outside of work

Learning jewelry making, taking Nahuatl classes, and working on home improvement projects. Two dogs — Loki and Carlitos — and still missing their beloved Cuco.

Fun fact

Her roots span both Mexico City and Michoacán, and she loves the mix of cultures and traditions that comes with it — and does her best to preserve them.

Scheduling Coordinator

Dalia Gutierrez

she/her

English & Spanish

“I think of scheduling like a puzzle — the satisfaction when every piece fits is the best feeling.”

Dalia coordinates all of E2S’s scheduling — consecutive and simultaneous events. A Qualified Healthcare Interpreter in Spanish, HIPAA certified, and deeply detail-oriented.

Why I do this work

Knowing that at the end of a well-coordinated appointment, three people are communicating effortlessly — that is the goal. Being part of an efficient team that makes it look seamless is something I am genuinely proud of.

Outside of work

Family gatherings, board games, traveling, jogging, sunsets, tacos, and beach days. Proud aunt to a baby nephew and devoted to her miniature Schnauzer.

Fun fact

Her name, Dalia, is the national flower of Mexico.

Scheduling Coordinator

Gabby Travesi

she/her/hers

English & Spanish

“If I can make a stressful moment a little easier, I know I have done my job well.”

Gabby ensures every scheduled appointment and event is covered by a qualified interpreter — with a special focus on last-minute requests, exploring every option even under tight deadlines. She brings years of customer-focused experience and a calm, solution-first approach.

Why I do this work

Language access is especially meaningful to me because I know how challenging it can be when someone cannot communicate in the language being spoken. Being part of a team that removes those barriers lets me keep doing what I have always been passionate about — making sure people feel heard, understood, and supported.

Outside of work

Quality time with family and friends, exploring new places, and quiet time at home with movies, series, and documentaries. Mom to a 17-year-old daughter and a curious 10-year-old son, plus a rescue dog adopted four years ago — her very first pet.

Fun fact

Born on February 29th — a leap-day baby whose “real” birthday only comes around once every four years.
