Course Description
In Hands-On Note-Taking for Medical Interpreters, participants will first explore the theoretical framework that underpins interpreter note-taking, based on the principles established by Rozan (1956). This foundation will then be applied through guided, practical exercises designed to help participants develop their own note-taking system. Throughout the course, participants will build the skills needed to create, refine, and apply their method in both self- study and real interpreting scenarios, including consecutive interpreting in on-site and remote settings.
Program Goal
By the end of the course, participants will be able to develop, apply, and explain their own note-taking system with confidence in real interpreting scenarios.
