Info Session Description

Do you know whether your homeowners insurance actually covers you as a freelance interpreter? Or why Professional Liability and General Liability aren’t the same thing? Join us for a free info session with Gary Meyer of DHH Insurance Agency, and Ally Dubois of the DHH Insurance affiliate Language Protect, to get clear, practical answers to the insurance questions freelance interpreters ask most.

This free, informational session is open to any interpreter who wants to better understand liability insurance. After the presentation, there will be time for questions, and attendees interested in exploring a policy will have the opportunity to connect directly with Gary and his team.

This session will be held online, and registration is required. Gary is deaf and will be presenting through an ASL interpreter throughout the session.

What you can expect to learn

This session will cover what liability insurance is, why interpreters need it, and how to obtain the right coverage for your work—including topics like the difference between General Liability and Professional Liability/Errors & Omissions coverage, what “Additional Insured” coverage and a Certificate of Insurance actually mean, and what to know before switching or canceling an existing policy.

Gary is deaf and will be presenting through an ASL interpreter throughout the session.
